Oh Right. That Thing Called Winter.

CITY SAGE COATS POST

One thing I conveniently "forget" as a result of living in San Francisco? Even though the Bay Area can be foggy, windy, and chilly, our weather is mild compared to what much of North America experiences. I've been brutally reminded of Old Man Winter's cruel reality during my annual holiday visit to my parents' house in Toronto. Mercy me, it is coooooold here: I'm bundled under three layers as I type this!

The one good thing about frigid weather? Why, it's shopping for winter clothing, of course! And right now it's all discounted in a big way. The coat shapes this year are all really unusual, and the accessories seem extra spunky and playful as well. It's not enough to make me wish I lived in Toronto year-round, but it is enough to make me excited to hit those Boxing Day sales in 3…2…1…GO!

  1. Im a wuss for cold weather seeing as im from victoria – very mild As much as I hate winter though I do love winter clothes!
I was in San Francisco though last August and was absolutely freeezing (didn’t help that my warmest article of clothing was a thin bamboo hoodie). I was told November is very warm there and August is the coldest. Is that true or was someone pulling my Canadian leg?

  2. With the first pick in the notoriously weak 2000 Draft, the Nets selected Kenyon Martin from the University of Cincinnati. Stephon Marbury and Keith Van Horn had become stars in New Jersey. Marbury made the All-NBA 3rd Team in 2000 and his very first All-Star Game in 2001.

  3. love all of that winter attire! if only it was mild enough to wear it all in michigan. definitely a possibility for fall though!
