But every once in a while there's an exception to the rule: and this mint green mohair Acne sweater is it.
The trick with this bad boy is in the proportions. It's on the longer side, so I avoid the Muffy von Baronsnob vibe a shorter sweater would create (pigs will fly before you catch me in a twinset.) Paired with laid-back pieces like cut-offs and short boots, it looks disarmingly innocent with a subtle edge. Add a zing of bright color–this necklace is from Aussie Emily Green–and you're in business!
A note about these photos: Remember my Vegas road trip a couple weeks back? Well, I was lucky to make that drive with the amazing husband-wife duo at Woodnote Photography–and when we spotted this field of apple trees in bloom, a pit-stop had to happen.
