MoMA Sky Umbrella Turns 20!

Oh hi! It's me, the Sky Umbrella! And it's a pretty special occasion this year: my 20th birthday! That's a big deal, so to celebrate, I took a little trip to San Francisco. I've been wanting to travel for a while, and this seemed like just the right opportunity. Here I am riding the cable car. It was such fun to ring the bell and swing from the handlebars!

Oh my goodness, Lombard Street! The most crooked street in the world. When you're an umbrella, this is pretty much all your dreams come true. I started at the top and rolled my way back and forth down the whole thing. I tumbled into the bushes at the bottom and couldn't stop giggling for a good five minutes. You'll have to pardon the goofy expression on my face here!

The crowning glory, the Golden Gate Bridge. Getting this shot wasn't easy. I nearly blew away several times! The group of senior citizens watching from the pier certainly got a show during this portrait session as well. But it was worth every windy moment, because I'll treasure this memory forever. The salt spray, the crash of the waves. I can't wait for my next big birthday!
