I love being a glasses girl, don't get me wrong. But sometimes it's nice to mix my look up, you know? Contact lenses send my peepers into hissy fits, so I'm left with only one other choice: build an optical wardrobe to rival Imelda Marcos' shoe collection. That's why I'm so thrilled with all the chic and affordable eyewear options out there lately–and San Francisco-based Mezzmer is my latest fave.
Mezzmer has been around for a while, and they just keep getting better and better. In July they added a bunch of new styles and expanded into sunglasses as well. Of course I still treasure my $500 (gulp!) vintage 1950's frames, but it's fun to know that I can swap into an on-trend, inexpensive pair when the mood strikes me. Hey, decision making has never been my forté!
Oh, remember yesterday's 'things to do before summer is over' list? Item 2 was 'find a new pair of sunglasses', and I think Mezzmer's Dolly style is the one. I'm digging the Bridget Bardot-inspired shape, the bottle green lenses, and the shift away from my oversized round shades. Plus for $99 I can get my prescription in them which means I can wear them when I drive, read at the beach, you name it. SOLD.
P.S. A HUGE thanks go Jenn Emerling for shooting these photos with me. As you can probably tell, we had a little TOO much fun! And yeah, you really can get this many pairs of Mezzmer glasses at your house–just order them through the home try-on program. It's foolproof, friends.
