Five Years of The City Sage!

Today is my 31st birthday. As birthday's go, it's not much of a milestone. But, today also marks the 5th anniversary of this blog. And that, my friends, feels like quite the milestone indeed. It's not always been easy to keep up the routine of posting here, especially as life seems to grow more complicated with each passing day, but the blog has provided me with continuity, connection, and community. It is, quite possibly, the best birthday present I've ever given myself.

But it's not a gift that I have given myself alone—nor would I wanted to have. The support network with which I now surround myself has come to me almost entirely through social media, and I count myself blessed to have such a multitude of friends, colleagues, readers, and sponsors who value me for who I am and what I have to share. So thank you for returning here again and again, to read, to reflect, to contribute your point of view. Thank you for listening as I've developed my voice over these past five years, and thank you for sticking with me as I head into another!
