Linen Nautical Pillows by design.christonium

Scandinavian decor

I have always had a soft spot for linen. From the casual rumples of a linen dress to the laid-back sophistication of floor-to-ceiling linen curtains, it's a fabric that whispers of carefree days and cool, breezy nights. A cascading pile of linen cushions has particular appeal in moments when I'm especially craving a nap (which is pretty much always). So when these just-released pillows from design.christonium landed in my inbox, I sat up and took notice.

Nautical pillows

Based in Oregon just a stone's throw from the coast, design.christonium is the brainchild of Linn Raia—a Swedish transplant with a deep love of the sea. Indeed, I can't look at her nautical pillows without imagining the scent of the salt air and the rhythm of the waves. Made from heavyweight linen and printed with semaphore flags, these plump lovelies would bring a touch of Scandinavian style to any space. They're even available with custom sea flag lettering to spell out your name!

Linen pillowcases

But it doesn't end there. design.christonium also produces standard bed pillows, kitchen towels, tablecloths, and a host of other gorgeous linen homewares. I haven't felt the goods myself, but by the look of the photos on the site they strike that perfect balance between hefty and soft. Considering the company's ability to do custom work, I wonder if they'd make me a linen snuggie? Because THAT would be the ultimate in linen indulgence!

  1. Yes, linen…I am making a linen vest just now. Love the linen plus nautical and it’s so good to see you back! xoxo

  2. These are gorgeous textiles. I love how they’re clean and white but still welcoming. They are not at all sterile. Also, can I say that that staircase is amazing?

  3. I loved these so much I ordered them as part of an engagement gift for my son and future daughter-in-law.
