Boutique Visit: The Foundry Home Goods

The foundry minneapolis

I'm so excited to share these photos from a visit to one of my favorite stores in the whole world. The Foundry Home Goods in Minneapolis is like paradise to me. I'd live in this shop if the owner Anna would let me, but I suspect that having a squatter wouldn't be great for her business. So I settle for popping in and drooling over every item on the shelves whenever I'm in the Twin Cities.

The foundry homegoods

If you love white ceramics, warm wood, and all things Scandinavian farmhouse, then The Foundry is for you. The aesthetic is clean and inviting, the palette is all neutral with a touch of metallic, and the focus is on the highest quality handcrafted homewares from around the world. Many of the most striking pieces for sale are made right in the Minneapolis area.

White ceramics

A few standouts include beeswax beauties from Old Mill Candles, stunning Nordic WoodenWear bowls, and gold leaf paintings by local artist Siri Knutson. Plus don't miss Japanese terry towels, delicate yet functional glassware, and the finest roundup of stylish cleaning supplies this side of the Mississippi. You could easily outfit the whole house in the blink of an eye!

Rustic style at the foundry home goods

The Foundry is located in an area of Minneapolis that used to be warehouses and factories and is now being populated with wonderful stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. If you're in town you must stop in and say hello to Anna and her awesome assistant Grant. Sit on the big canvas sofa with a coffee and while the day away. In the meantime, shop The Foundry online, and stay tuned for another boutique visit coming soon!

A huge thank you to photographer Sarah Hrudka for shooting these images, and for squiring me around Minneapolis for the day. It was a joy to work with her!
