Boutique Visit: Askov Finlayson

Artisan grooming products

Just in case you need more evidence that Minneapolis is one of the most happening cities around, may I present to you Askov Finlayson? If you read Wit + Delight, you've likely heard of this retail outpost—the blog's founder Kate acts as the company's Communications and Digital Media Manager. Askov Finlayson pays homage to all that is rugged yet refined about North Country style, and although much of the merchandise is geared toward men, you don't have to be able to grow facial hair to appreciate it.

Pop in for a visit and you'll find the lofty space in Minneapolis' burgeoning North Loop neighborhood filled to the brim with everything from fine shirting to hefty denim, from sturdy housewares to riveting periodicals. Iconic American brands mingle with labels you've never heard of but should definitely familiarize yourself with now, if only so you can say you 'knew them when'

Camping supplies

Not only do I want to take home half of Askov Finlayson's goodies for myself (because there's nothing like a super-soft guy's flannel when the weather starts to chill), I also end each trip to the store reminded of how much I love the outdoors. Yt's been over a decade since I did any camping or canoeing, yet just a whiff of pine soap and paddlewax still incites that old, familiar itch to hit the trail.

The great white north

The good news? Now you don't have to trek to the Twin Cities to enjoy Askov Finlayson, because their brand new website launches today! Access the same handsome goods as in the brick and mortar store as well as some seriously exciting collaborations they've been cooking up all summer. Thanks so much to the team at Askov Finlayson for having me in. I'm so excited to see what they have up their sleeves!

  1. Who says you have to be male to grow facial hair?! 🙂
Love those canoe paddles! Reminds me of long summers backpacking through Algonquin….
