One of my favorite things about writing my book (which is coming up on the first anniversary of its release!) was getting to know the homeowners who welcomed me into their houses and their lives for a spell. Since then, it’s been so fun continuing to follow their journeys through the magic of the Internet! Some have moved to different cities, others have welcomed new family members, and still others have shifted their lives completely! One who falls into the latter category is Jen CK Jacobs. Jen is certainly no stranger to reinvention—you may know her as Jen Altman and you’ll definitely recognize her signature style from her previous site Nectar & Light—but her latest project is possibly her most charming yet. Meet Ramble + Wolf, a new lifestyle blog that documents Jen’s adventures in travel, food, interiors, and raising six kids in the wooded wilds of North Carolina!
Jen is one of the most free-spirited souls I’ve ever encountered, so she’s just the person to inspires us all to get out and explore with abandon. Whether she’s trekking Iceland or wandering Charleston, she manages to find an area’s most happening hotels, restaurants, and roadside attractions. When she’s home, she creates and captures stunning decor vignettes and scrumptious recipes. And wherever she goes, she has her exuberant little ones along for the ride, adding their wit and wisdom to the stories she tells with such visual and verbal grace. Jen has also added to her plate an online shop called Roberts + Gene, where she sells estate jewelry and mystic finds curated by her impeccable eye. In other words, she’s one busy lady—and if I ever write a sequel to my book, I know I’ve got a world of new material to cover!
