Decorate for Fall with Knit Throws + Bedding from Morrow Soft Goods

One of the surest signs of fall at my place is the appearance of Throw Mountain. When the weather starts to cool, I pull our heavier weight blankets from storage and put them into rotation on the sofa, at the foot of the bed, and over chair backs throughout the house. Inevitably they all seem to migrate to a huge pile in a basket near our front door, forming the aforementioned Throw Mountain and making an impromptu nest for cats and dogs in need of a nap. Each year I’m always on the lookout for cozy new textiles to grow the mountain even larger, and this season I’ve got my eye on Fair Trade knit throws from the just-launched Los Angeles brand Morrow Soft Goods.

Morrow was founded by two married couples who combined their collective expertise—the quartet includes a fashion designer, an architect, an illustrator, and a marketing executive—to design and produce homewares that they’d be proud to use and display in their own space. The result is insanely soft, hand-loomed blankets made from sustainably sourced Alpaca using traditional Central and South American techniques. The patterns are contemporary yet versatile for any style of decor, and the cozy factor is through the roof! Morrow also offers French linen sheets and duvets at ridiculously reasonable prices—and they’re just getting started with the collection so there’s more good stuff just around the corner. In other words, my Throw Mountain is about to rival Everest in size!
