How To: Dress for Work with ban.do + A Giveaway!

Summer work style

On the whole, my work environments range from the casual and creative to the down-and-dirty. The rare occasion—a first client meeting, for example—calls for a tad more polish. And certainly I have friends whose dress codes fall on the corporate side of the fence. So when the ladies at ban.do asked me to model my favorite piece from their All Day Every Day collection, I wanted to explore a side of the brand that anyone could fit into their regular rotation.

Ban.do bow + blazer

The girlie bow perfectly straddles the line between spiced-up and buttoned-up. I chose the newest navy and white polka dot version, but there's a satin iteration that would look so pretty with a black shift dress and chignon. The ban.do philosophy is all about finding fun in even the littlest things, and I see no reason why we can't do that simply because we're filing expense reports—and frankly, a fab hair accessory is practically required just to survive that spiteful task!

Creative work style

As for the rest of the outfit, a silk romper and loosely structured blazer would suit almost any professional situation. (I'd throw on stockings if I really felt the need to impress.) Oxblood heels and a vintage attaché compliment the personality imparted by the bow. Now you have a chance to incorporate this accessory into your every day too! Comment here telling me how you mix it up with your work outfits. One week from now I'll select a winner to receive a polka dot ban.do girlie bow!

I’d probably pair one of these gorgeous bows with jeans and my new “Meow” statement tee or a pretty tank and my neon green skater skirt! Meow (and polka dot) fabulousness. 🙂
