What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever had delivered? I once placed an Amazon order for industrial strength boric acid, a replacement pack of sonic toothbrush heads, and four pounds of sprouted brown rice. I giggled ferociously at the thought of that box being intercepted! But the truth is, these days we can have just about anything brought straight to our door, and you’ll hear no complaints from me on the matter. I’m especially loving the latest and greatest delivery development here in LA: houseplants and hand-painted modern planters from Pop Up Greens!
I first learned about Pop Up Greens a couple weeks ago when I was prepping my house for a home tour in Rue Magazine (you can check that out here!). The charming new company is just about the best thing since sliced bread! With the ease of an email you can order up a five-foot fiddle leaf fig, a gaggle of cacti, or a massive monstera. I desperately needed some life in my space for the shoot, so I dropped a line to founder Molly and she showed up at my door with an entire garden’s worth of lush living decor!
The beauty of Pop Up Greens is that it’s so much more than an instant indoor forest. Molly has a knack for transforming standard issue planters into works of art, and choosing exactly the right specimen to pair with each container. Stripes, dips, and graphic shapes add interest to any space while also providing a cozy home for your new fern. My leafy buddies were just on loan for the shoot and the house looks so bare without them. Fortunately a fresh batch of foliage is just a phone call away!
