Oh boy oh boy oh boy, am I ever excited about this one! There are giveaways and then there are GIVEAWAYS, and this falls into the latter camp. I’m partnering with Kelly Stonelake–the very same photographer who did yesterday’s outfit post–and we’re giving one reader a couples photo shoot styled by me, shot by Kelly, completely free!
Here’s the scoop: It can be you and your fella, your bestie, your mom, your business partner, whoever you’d love to have a ‘You & Me’ photo shoot with. In addition to photos by Kelly and styling by me–by styling I mean wardrobe, props, a theme if that’s your thing–we’re going to bring someone aboard to do hair and makeup. Plus our pal Charmed by Ingrid Anne will be donating jewelry for the winner!
And as for geography, we’d like to stay in the Bay Area but if you convince us that we must road trip to Sheboygan, then we’re down! To enter do three things: 1. Like Kelly Stonelake Photography on Facebook. 2. Like Charmed by Ingrid Anne on Facebook. 3. Leave a comment here telling me the vision for your winning shoot (include your location, please). Ready? Thinking caps…ON!
Fine Print: We’ll select a winner two weeks from today. Scheduling for the shoot will depend on all three parties–you, me, and Kelly. You have to be ready to have a lot of fun. Them’s the rules!
Wow, can’t believe I’m the first entry… yeeei…
I’m not very creative on stuff like this, but since my partner and I just moved to LA and are in LOVE with our area – Los Feliz / Griffith Park in LA – I think that it would be gerat to be able to do something there – maybe a night or sunset to get a glimps of the LA lights 🙂
Ohhhh man. I so wish I lived on the west coast!
I’ll enter anyway 🙂 And cross my fingers that you and Kelly want to take a cross country adventure to the biggest city in the south – Atlanta! It’s a great city. This would be so incredible!
Love the red balloon! 🙂
have you ever been to Utah? Salt Lake City is a gem, but I’m thinking a high desert theme in Moab, Canyonlands. The scenery is strikingly beautiful!
Great photos.
My ideal shoot location would be somewhere in the pacific northwest in one of the beautiful forests. Huge trees and greenery maybe a little fog… perfection.
We love Fort Funston (we stalk other people’s dogs)
i’ve been shy about the idea of engagement shots. but these? lovely.
I would L.O.V.E. to do a shoot with my hubby up in Napa! Its such a pretty time of year for this too. 🙂
Hi! My boyfriend of 6 years and I just returned to the Bay Area. It is our first time living here since graduating high school 13+ years ago; with stints in Australia, Colorado, New York and Los Angeles, respectively. He hails from the East Bay and I from the Peninsula. So we split the distance between our families and are living in San Francisco. We are so very, very excited to be back.
I’ve really enjoyed following your styling sessions, Anne. It would be so awesome to work with you + this talented team. Here’s my idea: a homecoming photoshoot for Aaron & I. He has a lot of hometown pride for Oakland, so I think it would be fun to do something on the Bay Bridge perhaps? Often ignored by those who love the Golden Gate, the BB is still gorgeous and is important in linking the East Bay with the City. We could explore Yerba Buena/Treasure Island, with shots of SF and Oakland in the background. Would also love to do other San Francisco/Oakland locations, but avoiding the typical touristy ones. The City is just such a great backdrop for photo shoots, but I think Oakland is sometimes forgotten about (see crime statistics). For Oakland, we love Blue Bottle coffee and its location near Jack London square (where we sometimes bump into the Governor :), Colonial donuts, the Grand Lake Theater, Fox Theater. Oakland has some great spots with a lot of history. Those are some of my initial thoughts, sorry for rambling on so much. Thanks!
These are great! And it would be soooooo awesome if I would win!! (unfortunately, I live abroad, in Berlin, I’m stinkin’ jealous of the winner! X Mandy

This is such an amazing giveaway!
I’d love to do a shoot in the Berkeley hills. There are a few locations that are really special to me, and it would be great to capture things there. Just something simple and outdoorsy.
WOW! What a giveaway. Major, major wattage shining here!
Pick me, please!
Loretta
Amazing giveaway, ladies!
My husband and I live in Berkeley, a few states away from all of our family and friends. I try to share as much as I can with them in pictures but, being the photographer, I’m not often *in* the pictures myself. I’d love to have our California adventure captured for those who can’t be here with us. A walk through our favorite park, keeping up our Seattle coffee habit, shopping at the Bone Room, perhaps even a few shots in our little apartment (do cats count as props?)
I’m dying over this giveaway!!
My man is a PhD student at Stanford and I work in the City. We love to escape the craziness by hiking the Matt Davis Trail in Stinson Beach (all those redwoods!) or strolling down the docks at the Sausalito Yacht Harbor – the glassy green water and hillside houses there are AMAZING.
It would be so fun to do a shoot at either of those places!
My hubby and I are celebrating our one year anniversary in February (see our wedding video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bl5DrBWWzs). I’d love to do an anniversary shoot. We spent our mini honeymoon in Point Reyes. I’d love to do a little picnic in the woods there, or perhaps Muir Woods. Thanks for offering such a stellar giveaway!
What an amazing giveaway! I’d love to win this opportunity for me and my husband. We had been living in Sonoma and Marin county for the past few years and have just moved back to the east bay. I’d love to do a photoshoot in San Francisco near the Golden Gate bridge to symbolize our new beginning together in the bay area to place in our new home.
Can I enter? Hugs and Kisses, Mom
I would love to win this offering! I have very few photos of my husband and I together. We live in the Bay Area and we love San Francisco, Point Reyes, Big Sur, Monterey. Very open as to location. We love farmers’ markets, views of the Golden Gate Bridge, special trees, Muir Woods, so many places. Thank you for the opportunity and wishing you much success!
I would love to do a casual eclectic vintage photoshoot out on sunset cliffs in San Diego. We can even bring our adorable beagle puppy. We will be the most adorable young family with your help!
Hello, Miss Anne! 🙂
I’ve been dreaming up a shoot for me and my bandmate (and best friend), Luke, at Chambers (http://chambers-sf.com).
In my dream, the photos match the vibes of each area of the venue:
-a 50’s pool party by the pool/cabana area (retro swimsuits, big sunglasses, cocktails, and cannonballs)
-a James Bond-y look for the area with the bookcases and girls-with-guns on the drapes (a suit, a slinky dress, an updo, martinis or bourbon, and Blue Steel 😉
-a happy bubbly shoot in front of the Be Amazing lightboard (sparkly champagne, sequins, and a healthy helping of laughter).
It would be super fun to work with you all if we’re the lucky winners. Even if we don’t win, hopefully my dreams will come true someday soon!
1. My fiancé and I live in San Francisco.
2. In fact, he just moved here a year ago from Florida and I moved here four months ago from Virginia, which is the culmination of FINALLY being together after spending over four years doing the whole long distance thing! It’s kind of a really big deal!
3. We got engaged a little over a year ago and have yet to have any engagement photos taken.
4. Since moving across the country to the Bay Area, spending money on an engagement session isn’t something that’s high on our list of priorities, but is definitely high on our list of things we’d die to have done.
5. I’m a photographer myself, which means that I’m very rarely in any pictures and it would be a great treat for our families who all live on the East Coast. In fact, the pictures would probably mean more to them than they would to us.
6. And because I’m a photographer, I’m very picky when it comes to the level of creativity and professional imagery that I would want for something as special as an engagement shoot. Kelly’s photography is definitely on par with what I’ve always had in mind, what I’ve always wished for.
7. Basically, this whole giveaway would be a dream come true and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. It sounds meant to be!
PS. As for thoughts on location, I know it may sound ordinary, but I’m still so in awe of this city that almost any street or back alley would suffice. The diverse architecture in this place is amazing so I’d love to show it off like the way you did in yesterday’s outfit post. Throw in a good book shop (we’re both dying for recommendations anyway) and we’d both be happy campers!
By the way, I love that your mom wants to enter 🙂
I would love to have a photo shoot in SF at either the Mosaic stairs in the upper Sunset in San Francisco. My bf and I grew up in the Sunset and love the idea of the mosaics stairs. I do not have a particular idea in mind or a specific “theme”, but would love the mosaic stairs to be the focal point and us as the backdrop.
great photos but not sure I care for the one with the pre teens kissing. either those models look very young or the styling of that one makes me just a bit uncomfortable
What a fantastic give-away! My husband and I are lucky enough to live in Napa and while there are amazing spots all over the valley, in my opinion its more about your styling and Kelly’s angle that will make the images special. We’re both big fans of fun, propped out, retro imagery as much as we are of natural, laid back styling. Thank you for offering this and we are anxious to hear who the lucky winners are and see the images as a result of the shoot! Best,
Jenna, both women in that image are in their 30’s! Whatever their secret is, I sure want to find out because they look great. As for styling, they self-styled that one. Just themselves! Thanks for liking the photos.
Oh, my my! Dream giveaway. Well if I had my druthers I’d do a shoot with the fiance!
My two cents:
1. Malt shop shoot at Saint Francis Fountain. It’s one of our go-to weekend brunch spots in our neighborhood, (but it’s also open for dinner). There could be so many good photo opps – looking through the window, by the candy jars, drinking Mitchell’s milk shakes with stripey straws — yeah, they actually serve them that way. It’s cute.
OR 2. A modern-day take on Roaring ‘20s style at the Palace of Fine Arts. We could have a picnic with old time-y flair.
okay… so my man & i are getting married this spring and therefore we NEED to win, right? we are currently in utah, but he is from the pacific northwest & we love to travel… so wherever! he is a city boy and would love to do some truly urban city shots. but… we are open to anything. you all rock at what you do… we trust your judgment! xx
The ONLY photos I like of myself are from my wedding day. I am LAME at dressing myself. I would LOVE to to be styled by you and photographed by Kelly!!! My husband and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this year in Carmel by the Sea where we were married. So…..how great would that photo shoot be?????? Pick me, Pick me….please!
unfortunately im from germany, so i guess thats not possible 😀 but anyways, the pictures are great and i love this kind of giveaway. the result will be unique i bet and so the winner will be a very lucky one:) greetings from the other side of the ocean:) aleen
Who-hoo! What an amazing giveaway. I already LOVE Kelly Stonelake Photography and I just liked Charmed by Ingrid Anne.
I recently moved down to the Bay Area with my boyfriend and my vision for the shoot is to show our friends and family back home (Pacific NW) our new California life. I’m thinking a retro picnic in the middle of Mission Dolores Park or Alamo Square with gorgeous views of the city and a big bunch of colorful balloons, just because.
sounds amazing! i’d love to do this with my bff when she comes into town in march.
Oooh! The hubby-to-be and I are both Montanans (truth be told, he’s a transplant, but we like him a lot anyway) so we have the three best words ever: Yellowstone National Park. (Yes, most of it is in Wyoming… we’ll just go ahead and gloss over that bit.)
Thank you for offering this amazing and fun event.
I envision doing this with my friend, NCP who has come into my life in the last 2 years. Her boyfriend introduced us and it was like meeting a long lost sister. Everyone thinks we’re actually sisters. I’m thinking of wearing a t-shirt that says, no I’m not…
She has made it possible for me to rekindle my passion for working with horses by adopting out to me one of her 3 horses, taught me to ride again and so much more!
Anyway, as a thank you for all she does for everyone except herself I would love to surprise her with this.
We live in beautiful, wonderful scenic Vermont. Wouldn’t it be dreamily gorgeous to come here and meet 2 tomboy cowgirl “sisters”?
Even if we’re not chosen, thank you again.
Heya! My boyfriend and I live in the near Dolores Park in San Francisco. And since I’m a photographer (and always behind the camera) he and I have almost no photos together! Over our 6 year relationship, I managed a few self-timered shots and run into the frame as quickly as possible… but that doesn’t give me much time to pose, hair-floof, or just get into the moment.
So I’ve always wanted another pro to capture us together… especially with a talented stylist! I’d love a sweet day-in-the-city shoot with a bit o’ 1960’s style. But I’d be open to anything that documented him and me together… without me scurrying to stand beside him! 🙂
HELLO ANNE!–
My good friend and business partner, Gina, and I are looking for a photographer to do a creative/classy/fun/professional shoot for our website and for fun 🙂 we both live in san francisco and would be open to suggestions for the shoot, i had originally imagined a cool set of stairs or something cool like that. we are aiming for a mary poppins-esque theme… our business is organizing homes and offices. you can check us out on facebook “Organized Minds” or go to our website http://www.organized-minds.com. PS- im also close friends with Ingrid and found out about the giveaway from her facebook page.
THANKS!!! -Elyse
My fiancé is from the South Bay and I am from the East Bay. We would be ecstatic and honored to have engagement pictures taken and to be surrounded by all the creative talent! Below are my top 3 ideas in mind.
East Bay Shoot at the Lafayette Reservoir: This is where I go running. There are beautiful hiking trails, a tower within the lake which surrounded by rolling hills and greenery, picnicking, and docks. One of our favorite movies is The Notebook, and the scene when they are in the rowboat at the lake is super romantic!
SF shoot at Ferry Building: My fiance lives a block away from the ferry building. Since we are getting married in Napa, we would love to capture the city and what we enjoy doing on the weekends which is getting some blue bottle coffee and walking around the farmer’s market. Crissy Field would also be pretty with the golden gate bridge, sand, picnic, grass.
Davis shoot at UC Davis: We met at UC Davis so it would be a great way for us to remember Davis. We could shoot around UC Davis, bring some vintage chairs or bicycles (Davis is a bicycling town) and shoot in one of their many open fields, Bear Flag Farm has lavender fields and orchards.
• Impossible Acres farm in Davis has any fruits you would want imaginable from apricots to pumpkins
• Otow Orchard a little further from Davis is in Granite Bay. They have persimmon trees and Asian pears to name a few.
Thanks!!
Two and a half years ago, I met Alan in front of Cole’s coffee in Rockridge and we walked up to Paragon restaurant at the historic Claremont Hotel and enjoyed (what felt like at the time) the best drinks and conversation each of us had ever had. It was a blind date and we have been together ever since. The Claremont hotel (and the nearby hills and hiking trails) have been special for us ever since. While Alan and I live together now in Noe Valley, when we first started dating, I lived in South Park (a small park in the SOMA district of San Francisco). South Park would be another great spot to shoot. It’s where Alan and I spent the early days of our relationship swinging on the swingset with a bottle of wine, eating at the South Park Cafe and pinicking. I imagine great shots on swings, jungle gym and drinking coffee outside on a bench at the Cafe. South Park is sunny with lots of trees which give really sweet lighting. It’s a hidden gem in San Francisco! We hope you pick us 🙂
Matt and I have been married for twenty-four amazing, terrifying, beautiful, trying and full years. We have both battled and are still battling serious illness and don’t have any nice pictures of the two of us. I would love to have creative images that somehow express our lasting love and commitment to each other while showcasing our fun and affectionate relationship. How exciting and special it would be to win this great prize! I hope you choose us!
What a great opportunity!
I’ve always been particularly fond of old libraries. Add to that my boyfriend’s love of books (not just content, but the very aesthetics of cover, binding, and type) and you have my wish to do a session with him in an old library or quirky bookstore. (We live on the Peninsula.)
This is an amazing give-away! Kelly’s photography is very elegant and she captures the emotions in every photo she takes. And Anne you are a blog staple for me.
My boyfriend and I have been together since the beginning of college and still going strong today. I cannot remember life before him or without him. After he graduated he moved to the beautiful San Francisco to work. We have been in a long distance relationship for two years now because I am currently in medical school in Seattle.
When I have breaks I go down to SF to visit him and every time it is an adventure. The most recent time we went on a short road trip to Santa Cruz broadwalk and explored for a day. I absolutely loved the juxtaposition of the crowds, the quietness of the beach, and the sun! But I love that there are bits and pieces of Seattle in SF such as the perfect coffee shops all around the Mission as well. The city just has so much to offer.
I believe that home is where the heart is. A large part of my heart is in SF not only because of Francis but also because SF is just so wonderful. I would love to be chosen for this opportunity to capture every moment I have to share with the man I love in a city I have fallen in love with.

Love love LOVE your styling, so this giveaway would be a dream come true. I’ve also liked both ladies on FB and they seem fantastic!
Fun giveaway! The subject of the shoot would be me, my husband, and our newly adopted dog. We just returned to SF from LA after getting married a couple years ago, so the shoot would be about celebrating old loves (been with my guy for 12 years exactly at the end of this month!) and new beginnings (new family member, new jobs, and new adventure in SF). The shoot would be on the Cal campus (in Berkeley) where we first met. [An added bonus is that we missed out on engagement pics due to timing issues–new jobs, long distance, you know the drill–and we had planned to do them on the Cal campus].
Hi, my fiance Stuart and I just got engaged a couple months ago, and we’d love to win this photo session! I’d love to do a photo shoot in Los Gatos, CA. There are several different specific locations in Los Gatos that I think would be great…a historic movie theater, the farmers market (while there would be other people there I think the farmers market offers so many opportunities for unique photos), hiking trails and biking trails (we can include our bicycles), Vasona Park (rowboat in the lake?). Also, I have some old window sashes that I’d like to maybe use in our photos as props. We’re fun, outgoing people and want to have a fun photo shoot that reflects that.
Thank you!
liked both facebook pages!
I see some graffitti, some benches and beautiful light. OF course green grass, pretty flowers and dew drops is perfectly perfect too!
Good luck to everyone who entered so far! although I really hope I win for my chance to be in front of the camera!
ps- any location you pick is awesome. Santa cruz, Sf or somewhere in between

10 years ago, Keven (now my fiancé!) and I met at UC Berkeley. We didn’t start dating until 2 years later where we bumped into each other again at Top Dog, our favorite local hot dog joint. Fast forward 8 years later, he proposed at the same spot where we had first started our relationship. (We will also coincidentally be serving Top Dogs at the wedding, and we’ll treat you all to as many as you can eat if you choose us! Vegetarian options available too!) So spot #1 is Top Dog, Berkeley, CA. We would love to incorporate a picture here into our save the dates (maybe the date written in ketchup on the hotdog?)
Spot #2 would be the Berkeley Marina with a panoramic view of San Francisco. Keven and I are avid dragonboaters for the past 7 years and would love to show you all how to paddle and while we’re there, have our engagement shots taken while we enjoy the beautiful view of SF in our background. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonboating if you don’t know what dragonboating is.)
Last spot would ideally be on the UC Berkeley campus where we met many moons ago. Out in front of the library or in front of the campanile and any of the iconic places in between!
If you guys are interested in our engagement story, please check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150362994545857 =) Thanks for considering us!
This giveaway is pretty darn unbelievable. I can’t get over how beautiful Kelly Stonelakes’s photography is. Anyway now that I have liked both on facebook I suppose I should tell you the vision I have for if/ when I win. 😉
I live in the city of San Francisco (Cole Valley/ Upper Haight). My boy friend and I are best friends and so in love that I still get butterflies when we go on dates. We have now lived together for 5 months and life couldn’t be much better. We have this wonderful private backyard but hardly spend any time back there. It would be so nice to do a photoshoot back there, spruce it up and incorporate the stunning Magnolia leaves from the huge tree above. He is a bit camera shy so if he bails I would love to do a girl friend shoot perhaps tea party themed.
Thank you so much for thinking outside the box with this giveaway and incorporating LOCALS. It’s extremely inspiring.
i want a photoshoot with my family, including the pets! i want to embrace southern california winter, so i’d want to shoot it by the beach in the la/oc area, or near the mountains in la or san bernardino
umm so who won?
They tend to be quite round and ladies’ Christian Dior watches usually have a case which is 28mm in diameter, quite a bit narrower than watches which are designed for men.
