This Week: I’m Taking Over the One Kings Lane Instagram!

Instagram has been in the news recently, but the fun photo app has been gaining steam for a while now. I'm super excited to share that I'll be doing a collaboration at the One Kings Lane Instagram all this week. It's their first ever 'Instagram Takeover', and they've invited lil' 'ol me to guest post via my POV as Rue's Executive Editor. You can follow along @OneKingsLane.

I'm a bit of an Instagram machine lately, since I post not only from my own personal account but also for the Rue account. It's neat to notice what the different followers are interested in; for @Ruemagazine I focus on decor details, peeks from photo shoots, and colorful vignettes from our work days, while on my @citysage account I am a little more casual (food and cat pics, anyone?)

My favorite thing about Instagram? It forces me to stop, pause in my day, frame a little moment, and appreciate it. There's an element of mindfulness to it, and given that my day is otherwise 'go go go' all the time, I'll take any form of 'stop and smell the roses' that I can get. I'm looking forward to posting this week @OneKingsLane and hope you'll join me there!
