Instagram: I Think I’m Addicted!

Twitter. Facebook. Pinterest. Oh my goodness. There are so many sites battling for our attention. It's overwhelming, isn't it? I feel like a distracted magpie! But more and more I love Instagram (I'm @citysage); I really enjoy sharing snaps of moments in my day, details in my neighborhood, and quirky sights I spot during my travels. I'm so much more mindful when I stop to capture a scene.

I also love seeing what others choose to reveal! Bloggers are of course on top of the Instagram game, plus it's nifty to see personalities come through via their feeds. Katie (@paperfashion) gives us artwork peeks, Chelsea (@frolicblog) takes awesome kitchen pics, Amy (@ABCDdesigns) posts killer home details, and Catherine (@thelifestyled) wins for all-round girly glam.

Then, the pros. I feel starstruck and humbled at the chance to get a glimpse at the inner workings of my favorite photographers through this very candid medium. Jen (@jengotch) not only takes incredible shots but her captions are hilarious; Caroline (@teamwoodnote) slays me with landscapes, Sarah (@sarahrhoads) lets it all hang out, and Jesse (@jessechamberlin) makes us feel a part of the family.

  2. oh, i’m definitely in the same addicting little boat…ever since Android released the instagram app, i’ve been unabashedly hooked!
    it’s nice to see some of your favorite “grammers” (as i like to call them) because they’re quite different than the ones i currently follow. though i definitely follow jen gotch and burst out laughing regularly at her offbeat, clever captures.
    i follow a lot of the style bloggers (song of style, sincerely jules, kendi everyday, eatsleepwear) and my envy of their regularly glamorous worlds is only fed by their instagram feeds! the “self portrait” that captures you from the waist down is SO overdone, but i never tire of seeing them (or taking them).

  10. I’m starting to get a wee bit obsessed with Instagram myself (I’m bookgirl01, btw). Sometimes a picture can convey so much more than 140 characters ever will.
