I'm great at shopping secondhand for my home, but when it comes to clothes? Nope. I admire girls like Ashley from Fancy Fine and Becky from Bee of Design who can waltz into a thrift store, spot the gems, and make them wardrobe staples. Then I see lookbooks like this one from House of Maryanne–which makes vintage clothes look new!–and I get especially determined to make vintage work for me.
House of Maryanne is a Melbourne-based vintage shop but boutique owner Maryanne sells all over the world via her Facebook page. And maybe it's diva-esque of me, but I can't help wonder…if I had someone like Maryanne cherry-picking vintage pieces for me, would I'd get over that "I feel like I'm in costume" hump and rock them like these lovely ladies? I dunno. You tell me: Are you "good" at vintage?

Straight up, I am terrible at vintage shopping. Somehow I always end up in those stuffy stores where the owner is bitterly holding onto all the beautiful dresses by marking them up to an impossibly high price. Aka not really thrifting anymore in my eyes!
Although I did strike up some good finds lately, I’m still calling it luck, not skill. 😉

Great! Facebook fan page is best way to marketing and promotion of your product.
I don’t need rolex replicas, cheaply priced cars, or any other junk. So quit sending these to my inbox. Most don’t make it through anyway.
Hi Anne, I looove thrifting home decor, but still haven’t ventured into clothing (hmm, not YET!). I may simply be distracted from all the cool vintage decor finds. Maybe I will have to go shopping specifically for clothing and stay away from eyeing the decor 🙂
