Yesterday San Francisco saw blazing sun and soaring temperatures. Translation: Not boot weather. Meanwhile in the Northeast they're battening down the hatches for a raging hurricane. Translation: Boot weather, yes, but not stylish boot weather. Yet somewhere in this crazy weather-stricken world, someone's gotta be able to wear this season's fabulous footwear, right?
I'm waiting (not very) patiently for my big boot debut this year. Boots for me are what heels are for many women. There's something sultry, sexy, smashing about them. I stride a little more confidently in my tall leather equestrian Fryes. I skip with an extra ounce of bounce in my suede Isabel Marants. I kick butt especially hard in my black Rag & Bone motos.
This year's crop is particularly ripe for the plucking too. From knee-high statement makers to buckled and blanketed booties, it seems like anything goes, and I stand 100% in support of that. Just do me a favor and don't use the word 'shoeties', mmmkay? I cringed just typing it, so you can imagine what I'd do if I heard it spoken out loud. Now tell me: what's your boot style right now?
It’s perfectly acceptable to want one of each, right? I esp love the red pair! 🙂
I love boots. Right now I’m searching for the perfect pair. As an artist I need something slightly more work boot-like, but I want one I can wear with some nice slacks. THESE boots are just 100% fun though. 🙂
You know what all those boot-wearers have in common? Impossibly long, slender legs for days and days. Must be a prerequisite with some of these boot designs!
I,too, am a boot gal. I think I have 10 pairs (MN is in boot weather right now and I am loving it!). I’m obsessed with booties this fall. I also love tough looking boots-whether it’s distressing or buckles. Gotta have ’em. Great picks today- love them all. Have a great week!
It has always been tall boots for me. My Fryes are itching to leave the closet as the temperature starts to dip. I am, however, venturing for the first time into ankle boot territory this season. I’m excited about a red pair from Steve Madden.
