Oh my goodness. Thanksgiving has snuck up on me in the worst possible way. Dare I say this has been my busiest fall season yet? I haven't even thought about where I'll be eating my turkey dinner next week. But it's not too late to get into the spirit. So I'm excited to bring you this gorgeous holiday centerpiece idea from the talented Kelly Oshiro Design. It's quick, easy, and frankly sublime!
I'm a huge fan of any floral arrangement that uses fruits as well as flowers, especially at the dinner table. Not only do they feel thematically and seasonally appropriate, but they are a lower cost alternative to a giant bunch of flowers–blossoms can get so pricey. And of course after the arrangement has had its fifteen minutes of fame, you can eat the fruit. Winning!
I adore how Kelly incorporated the vivid orange persimmons with cheery ranunculus, lush dahlias, and wild persimmon branches. Fuzzy grey dusty miller leaves provide a soft foundation in a large, shallow wooden bowl. If you were dining at a friend or family member's home, you could make this arrangement in advance and bring it with you. Stay tuned for the how-to, later today!
gorgeous!!!
