Over the last few months I’ve mentioned my switch to a healthier way of eating. It’s nothing complicated, just plenty of whole fruits, veggies, and proteins, an increased fat intake for greater satiety, and as few refined foods as possible. So when Smirnoff asked me to create a cocktail that incorporated my new habits, I knew just where to turn: my favorite green juice recipe!
Many cocktails use simple syrup for sweetness, but this one relies only on fresh fruit. I used my juicer at home—I’m partial to a pear, kale, parsley, and cucumber blend—but any bottled green juice you like will do too! Simply measure 5 ounces juice to 1.5 ounces Smirnoff Sorbet Light Lemon for a clean, crisp cocktail that pairs nicely with veggies, dip, and summer salads.
Granted, alcohol does contain some sugar naturally, but it’s nice to know that you’re getting a boost of enzymes and micronutrients in the bargain. Plus everything in moderation, right? I brought my cocktail outside for a picnic and paired it with utensil-free snacks like crudites, hummus, and bacon, avocado, and tomato salsa. And truth be told, when you’re under the open sky enjoying delicious sips and snacks made from with fresh ingredients, it doesn’t feel like like sacrifice at all; it’s pure indulgence!

Mmm looks incredible! I will definitely be making one of these on my next picnic. Great post!
Thank you for this! I will be sharing it along with my original Green SkinnyTini in a post tomorrow at http://www.eatdrinkandbeskinny.com. Organic cocktails are the way to go! Cheers!
I think it is the fresh air that makes everything tastes better.
