Fall Style: Mix and Match Stackable Jewelry

Fall jewelry inspiration

More and more, I'm becoming a jewelry girl. Maybe 'cause as I get older I'm increasingly inclined to appreciate the little things. Or maybe just 'cause I've been on a major budget, and a special yet inexpensive bauble goes a long way to make old wardrobe staples feel new again. Whatever the reason, barely a day goes by when I don't plunder my bedside trinket box for sparkly layers.

Minimal fall jewelry

And indeed, it's the jewelry layering in particular that's speaking to me this season. From delicate chains to chunky links, straps of leather to cords of silk, the opportunity to pile on the texture is simply too good to pass up. I veer towards pieces that feel earthy and thoughtfully wrought, then like to throw some punk undertones into the fray for good measure.

Fall jewelry must-haves

Current faves? Bay Area-based Viv & Ingrid lets you wear your loved ones close to your heart with a multi-charmed custom birthstone necklace (ogle their thread earrings while you're at it). Gorjana provides one-stop shopping for super skinny gold stacking rings. Of course Etsy is a no-brainer for all manner of raw cut stones. Even Madewell is getting into the act with some serious pretties—and all their jewelry is 20% off right now. Which means it's time to introduce a new piece to the trinket box!
