Chocolate and peanut butter. Starbucks and La Boulange. Timberlake and Fallon. Gosh, I love a good collaboration. After all, when two already awesome entities team up, the result promises to be pretty stupendous indeed. So it's no surprise that the new Minted for West Elm collection has landed at the top of my wishlist for home!
I have long adored the Minted approach to community-sourced design; and the warm, modern vibe of West Elm sits right in my aesthetic wheelhouse. Combine the two and you find yourself with 25 unique art prints selected from over 1,400 submissions. Last night I attended the launch party for the collaboration and met some of the featured artists. Their joy was infectious when they talked about the thrill of seeing their work available to the public at a major retailer.
I have my favorites, of course: I'm smitten by the sophisticated hues and dramatic mood of this watercolor, and I can't resist the of the shaggy, frowsy faces of those cows. But whether you're into color or neutrals, abstraction or realism, the collection offers a little something for everyone. Oh, and they arrive ready to hang in a clean white frame. I love a good collaboration, don't you?
