Stripes are the new solid. They're just so versatile! Stripes let you go preppy or punk, mod or military. So when Splendid and Clementine Daily asked me to share two ways that I'd wear this striped cashmere sweater (available November 15), it was pretty much the easiest assignment I'd ever received. I took a simple, sporty route for my first look—see it here!—and then upped the style ante for the second.
My favorite way to dress up a striped sweater is to throw another pattern into the mix. But I'm also a relatively straightforward gal, so I don't go too crazy. In this case, polka dot army boots with a small scale print are just what the doctor ordered (Doctor Marten, that is). I kept the rest of the palette equally restrained, focusing instead on fit, texture, and great details.
As the temperatures continue to drop (last year it even snowed in my neck of the SoCal woods??!) I'll be layering this sweater under my favorite leather jacket or wool coat.
