I'm proud to say that I am a high-functioning human being in many regards. I brush my teeth each night before bed, I eat leafy greens on a daily basis, and I only rarely wear my undies inside-out for lack of clean laundry. Yet despite my many impressive capabilities, I am physically incapable of writing cards on time. Plans to send Christmas greetings become a resolution to mail New Year's salutations, and before I know it I'm into February and my friends think I hate them.
True to form, this season only one of my many near-and-dears has received a note from me. So I've decided to get the jump on Valentine's Day and start composing my sweet nothings now. I've already ordered a bevy of charming stationery—my taste runs from the tasteful to the tongue-in-cheek as you can see from the selection above— and sure the Big V is a month away, but I'll be darned if 2014 is the year I have to send out Happy Arbor Day wishes!
