I've just done something very prudent. I received money via PayPal and deposited it directly into my checking account. The part of me that values financial solvency feels proud indeed. But my inner magpie, she who cannot resist the quiet flash of vintage brass, is throwing a temper tantram. Because immediately after I performed the balance transfer, I discovered the vintage midcentury goodness that is Luola on Etsy. And man do I wish I had a fat stack of virtual funds to fritter away!
I know spending counts even if you do it electronically. But it's so much easier to rationalize when the "cash" never even hits your bank! I'd happily justify the purchase of Luola's cheerful Danish tablewares, quirky wooden animals, and sexy gooseneck desk lamps. What's more, the shop is organized by color, so it's that much easier to load up your shopping cart, click 'pay', and count the days until that must-have teak condiment tray arrives at your door. Isn't being a responsible adult lame?
P.S. Thanks to Joanna for giving me the heads up on this shop!
Your purchases were totally rational Anne!
