The Best Instagrams to Follow: Florals Edition

Dramatic florals

Is it possible to see flowers and not feel an immediate rush of joy? I for one cannot walk into a Trader Joe's without heading straight to the florals section. In addition to their usual snapdragons and delphinium, right now they're stocking peonies, tulips, and lilacs. While I'm powerless to resist buying some blooms, I don't always know how to arrange them once I arrive home. So I head to Instagram for ideas from my favorite floral artists across the country.

Romantic florals

Emily of the Bay Area's Shotgun Floral Studio (top) has an incredible way with texture, color, and proportion. Farther south in LA, Kate from Flowerwild (immediately above) teaches sold-out workshops to enthusiasts who want to create her signature romantic style. Both travel frequently, making it fun to follow along as they bedeck some of the prettiest venues in the country with blossoms.

Floral inspiration

Finally, in the Pacific Northwest, Mackenzie Powell's images feel like a walk through a wild and wonderful Oregon forest. And although all three Instagram feeds belong to professionals who frequently fashion elaborate installations, they also share their own simple at-home arrangements. In other words, they're perfect for us armchair florists raiding the bouquets at the grocery store!
