One thing the Internet age has brought us is the ability to collaborate with like-minded souls the world over. Nowhere is this privilege more prevalent for me than in my work for Clementine Daily. Since I joined the lifestyle site as Home Editor upon its launch last September, it's been a real joy to call myself part of such a smart, thoughtful, and inspiring team. Yet the virtual realm can only go so far, and nothing can replace real life interactions. It was high time we Clementine ladies met in person!
With that goal in mind, our intrepid leader and Clementine Daily founder Erin Loechner whisked us all away to Palm Springs. From across the continent we descended on the desert paradise, ready for three days of vintage shopping and spa treatments, top-notch dining and poolside relaxation. Yet as indulgent as our agenda was, the best part of the trip was far and away the chance to connect more deeply with these women whose work and world view I respect so much.
Throughout the retreat, Buick kindly provided transportation to us Clementine gals. We hopped from one activity to another, climbing into our spacious Buick Enclave for the smooth ride to our next destination. We took turns behind the wheel and everyone, from the most seasoned suburban driver to the carless New Yorker, felt comfortable handling the Enclave with zero learning curve. No matter how many shopping bags we piled into the car, we were never short on legroom. And as the day wore on and batteries wore down, there were always plenty of outlets to charte our innumerable phones, cameras, and computers. I'm already counting the days until the 2015 Clementine retreat, and if I get my way we'll take a cross-country road trip!
P.S. A huge thanks to Buick for making this getaway possible. Catch more Clementine Daily adventures on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #buickbucketlist!
