I’m a very healthy eater. I’ve never met a salad I didn’t love, and last year I gave up desserts and haven’t looked back. Yet I’m still plagued with health issues that are directly related to sugar—specifically, candida overgrowth. I’ll spare you the gory details, but suffice to say that some seriously uncomfortable symptoms flare up if I even look at a bag of grapes. It’s a bummer to acknowledge that in spite of my clean diet I still experience health challenges, but I suppose that acceptance is the first step in solving a problem. The next step? It’s time to get serious about healing and remove all sugar (even the ‘natural’ kind) from my plate so I can starve out the overgrowth. To that end, I’m doing a 21-day sugar detox program. If you face similar concerns, or if you’d simply like to cut those 3pm cravings, I’d love for you to join me!
The program is called Sweet Surrender, and it’s led by life coach and nutritionist Lacy Young. I’ve worked with Lacy in various ways for years and I’m always amazed at her capacity to evoke measurable, positive change in a gentle yet results-driven manner. The Sweet Surrender program includes daily to-do’s delivered straight to your inbox, as well as full access to support from Lacy and the rest of the detox group. Studies show that breaking longstanding habits and forming healthy new ones is most easily done with support, making this the perfect environment to quit the sweet stuff for good. Plus what better time than before the holidays hit? Imagine sailing past the office dessert table instead of fighting a losing battle with your willpower and ending up with tight jeans come January! For more info and to sign up, head to the Sweet Surrender website. Together let’s kick this stuff to the curb once and for all!
