Do you have any brands that you love simply for how fun they are? They’re the ones that comprise your no-brainer happy outfit, and that incite a little dance of glee when you learn they’ve released a new collection. That’s how I feel about MNKR. Ever since I discovered the brand a few years back, I’ve been following along with designer and artist Matt Fellows’ cheeky line of graphic tees, tanks, prints and more. Each piece is super soft and has such a playful personality, with vibes ranging from feel-good and uplifting to retro tongue-in-cheek.
I swung by the MNKR studios for a peek at some upcoming designs and a chat with the MNKR team. I’m gaga for the newest release, this fun Viva Los Angeles tee designed in collaboration with blogger Caroline of Love and Loathing Los Angeles. And it was a blast to hear more about Matt’s artistic influences, which range from the surf and skate culture of his native San Diego to the vintage advertising memorabilia that his parents collected throughout his childhood. MNKR is my go-to weekend wear and my favorite statement maker, all rolled into one perfect tee!
