I’ve never been to Ireland, but it’s near the top of my travel bucket list for sure. My main impression of the country comes from period films and National Geographic photos, which promise a country of misty green hills, moody cobblestoned lanes, and faerie voices that whisper of the way things were before the history books were written. While my rational mind knows that there’s more to Ireland than what’s in my imagination, the Limerick-based company 31 Chapel Lane is doing nothing to change my fantasy—and I love it for that.
31 Chapel Lane sells finely wrought napkins, kitchen towels, and tablecloths made from the linen that Ireland is famous for, all of them in quiet, subtle hues that set the scene for slow weekend mornings with a good book and a pot of tea. Plus their product photography is impeccable—putting both their own linens as well as other local makers on fine display. Shop their textile collection, steal their styling ideas, and follow them on Instagram for images that will have you staunchly believing that Ireland is the most beautiful country on Earth!
