A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of joining Emily Henderson—stylist, designer, and blogger extraordinaire—on the set of her spring video shoot for Target. I've known Emily for ages, and it's always such a pleasure to watch her work. Sunny, spirited, and seriously talented, she has a magic touch not only with decor but with everyone who crosses her path!
For her Target videos this season, Emily shares tips for lightening and brightening around the house. Her fun and easy suggestions include using a twin bed frame as a daybed; mixing multiple shades of white for a modern yet multilayered effect; adding organic touches with live plants and found natural objects; and plenty more simple yet impactful ideas—all using pieces available at Target!
After I visited the set I went home and implemented my own spring decor makeover informed by Emily's fresh spring style. I can't wait to share photos later this week (honestly, I'm pinching myself over the results)! In the meantime, check out the first video in Emily's series for Target. Usually when I think “spring” I think pastels – but this white and gold look seems to really catch a side of spring I don’t normally think of! It really brings the sun into the room. Love it!
