It's not often that I get the chance to gussy myself up and go to a perfectly planned party, complete with fine china, elegant florals, a brilliant menu, and scintillating company. And it's even more rare when that party is in honor of one of my most dear friends and her accomplishments. So the opportunity to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Coco + Kelley and its founder Cassandra Lavalle was a special occasion indeed!
The party took place on a glowing, late summer evening in Seattle, with about 40 of Cassandra's closest friends and family members in attendance. Two long tables filled a room decorated with dahlias and garden roses, paper lanterns and sunset-hued streamers. Family-style platters of Italian food made the rounds, and the wine flowed freely. Our girl Cass really outdid herself.
Naturally, we didn't miss a chance to get down to late-90's hip hop hits in the photo booth. The fact that I just happened to be in Seattle for this evening was too serendipitous for words. Congrats to the savvy, stylish, and seriously smokin' hot Cassandra Lavalle on 5 years of blogging and entrepreneurial success. Here's to many more!
