Gig: Lucy Schwartz for Anthropologie’s Push Play Project

Fantasy job alert, you guys. Last month I worked on a shoot for a fun initiative that Anthropolgie has been doing called the Push Play Project. (It's the ultimate in fashion-meets-music: favorite bands and artists do performances at Anthropologie stores all over the country.) This shoot was to promote last night's Fashion's Night Out show with Lucy Schwartz in New York City. Lucy is a doll!

We had a blast on set. It didn't feel at all like work, but rather just a day of playing with Lucy and the photography team The Why We Love. We set up camp at Carondelet House, a 1920's mansion in Los Angeles that is full of nooks and crannies begging to be photographed. Lucy has a smile that would melt stone, and with her ballet background she was a dream subject.

When we weren't scarfing cupcakes from Whoa Nelly Catering (marshmallow frosting!) or twirling in the ballet studio we created in Carondelet's long, beautifully lit corridors, we were breaking for Lucy to chat with Buzznet for this behind-the-scenes video. You can catch a glimpse of me at 0:31 but the best bit is at the end–Lucy cracks me up! Thanks to everyone involved; this was an honor!

Catch more photos and the full story at The Why We Love Photography. And for my favorite Lucy song, head to the Life in Letters video. Can't wait for her full album to drop soon!
