Modern Rustic Decor: Edison Bulb Lamps by Worley’s

The wealth of artisans making a living from their talents in this country consistenly amazes and inspires me. The latest hand-produced goods to leave me shaking my head in wonderment come from Worley's Lighting, a husband-and-wife team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The lighting they make is so simple and straightforward, yet each piece has 'finishing touch' potential.

I can see these sconces and table lamps, with their exposed grain and edison bulbs, sliding seamlessly into a multitude of settings. A single wallmount would boast a charming presence in an industrical eclectic entryway, while that red desk lamp would quickly and easily freshen up a lackluster workspace. Every single one is crafted using sustainable wood local to the Worley's in-home studio.

Modern rustic lamps

I learned about this little company when co-founder Shelli reached out to me to introduce their latest addition to the line-up; the Natural Edge collection has a refined, modern-rustic look that would be brilliant on my midcentury bookshelves. Right now the duo has a Kickstarter campaign running to help them get the tools that would enable to produce these lamps in greater quantity. Buy a lamp to help a small business upgrade their facilities. It's the definition of win-win.
