How do you define friendship? I used to have a hard time with the word. The leap from 'acquaintance' to 'friend' seemed wider than the Missisippi, so I barely ever left the shore for fear of being swept downriver by the current. But with a little help from the Internet, I'm more comfortable getting my feet wet. And I've made some very dear friends in the process!
One of those is Kate from the knockdown blog Wit + Delight. When Kate first started her blog, I thought, "This is a girl I need to know." Years later, we finally had a chance to meet in person when she passed through San Francisco. I invited her to be a part of the "For the Love of Pie" series that Nikole from Herriott Grace is doing on her blog. (Pie? Kate? Nikole? Trifecta of perfection!)
You know it's true friendship when someone rearranges her schedule for a 7am photo shoot at your home. You know it's even more true when five minutes in, you're spilling your deepest secrets over flour and butter. We must have really gotten wild because just recently I got a letter of complaint from my neighbor about our riotous laughter that day! I can't wait to do it again.
