You guys. I am so sorry for last week's prolonged and unexplained absence. I learned on Tuesday that I had three days to move out of my apartment, then later that afternoon my computer up and died (oh yeah, and that looming book deadline too…) I feel like I barely survived the subsequent haze of boxes, backaches, and backed-up work. But I lived to tell the tale and built a little more character in the process—or so I keep telling myself.
Now I'm settled in my new place and ready to begin the nesting process all over again. Because I moved in such a hurry, I only packed my absolute favorite items—which means that tons of my 'meh' small decor items didn't make the cut. Not only is some lucky shopper going to have a field day at my local Goodwill, I'm excited for the excuse to change up my look a little!
So when I haven't been sorting, carrying, and cleaning, I've been drooling over the 30% off Summer sale happening at Janet Kain for the Home. The crazy-go-nuts selection of down throw pillows in every pattern and color you can imagine is all handsewn in Upstate New York using fabrics like lofty linen and super soft Indian cotton. Right now I'm drawn to a mix of modern graphics and global prints in shades of navy and cobalt, but that could change as I start to get a feel for the rhythms and routines of my new surroundings. For now I'm just happy to be back in action!

Wow 3 days to move? And you’re already settling in? That’s a lot of work in a short time! It is cool to have a built-in excuse to change up your style or redecorate a bit though 🙂
