In the Kitchen: New Cookbooks for Fall

Cookbook inspiration

I've never met a cookbook I didn't love. When I go to a bookstore (an all-too-rare occurence these days!) I make a beeline for the cooking section, where I can easily spend hours flipping through recipes, oggling the photos, and growing increasingly hungry. Cookbooks are also my favorite travel souvenir—every time you reach for one you remember where you were when you bought it!—and consequently they outnumber fiction in my library by a factor of a zillion to one. Hey, a girl's gotta have options!

Fall's best cookbooks

Fall is always the best time of year to add to the cookbook collection. With the return of cooler weather we're all itching to get back into the kitchen, and publishers take advantage of our renewed interest with a plethora of drool-worthy offerings. These volumes are at the top of my wishlist right now—with the exception of the last two, which I've owned for a while and simply couldn't live without. I cannot wait to strap on my apron, roll up my sleeves, and get cookin'!

  1. From the cook-book into the frying pan! That is my motto and there isn’t a day that passes without me trying something new in the kitchen. However, I really like experimenting with all the recipes that get under my fingertips – I am not afraid to go over the limits of the regular cooking recipe. And that, most of the times, is a winning strategy!
