Earlier this week, when I posted a peak at Emily Henderson's latest videos for Target, I promised I'd return with photos of my own spring decor makeover. And here they are! I'm so excited about how this little project turned out. With just an afternoon's effort, my entryway went from meh to marvelous. And moreover, it's seriously impacted my home as a whole!
I faced a couple challenges during the process. Firstly, while I'd adored how Emily incorporated the Target pieces into her inspiring sunroom design, my own style is a little more restrained. How could I use essentially the same product selection to make a space that felt distinctly more 'me'? I decided to offset the playful white ceramics and beachy woven accents with a mix of clean lines in warm wood and brass. The resulting vignette still feels light and airy for spring, but it's also in keeping with my neutral inclinations.
Secondly, since I live in an open-concept bungalow, I needed to carve an actual entryway from what's really just a corner of my dining room. As you can see in this before pic, a mere console near the door wasn't cutting it. I started with a runner to provide a sense of direction through the space. Next, a single impactful piece of wall decor centers the eye and lifts it into the vertical plane. Then, a coat rack and an accent table bookend the console to seal off this functional zone.
The effect is subtle, but I really have noticed a difference in the way I feel upon entering my home. The transition is smoother, less abrupt, and it makes the house as a whole feel more intentional. Plus now that I have an official entryway, I'm more inclined to keep it adorned with welcoming touches like scented candles, incense, or fresh flowers—such these stunners by Jess of Taylor + Taylor. It's fresh start to spring indeed!

It looks great- you’ve incorporated the new target pieces wonderfully! Where can I find your console and espadrilles?? Thanks!
Is the hook with white knobs that the throw is on a Target item? If not where can that be purchased?
Can I ask where you got your hooks?
