Kitchen Decor: Aheirloom Cutting Boards

Cutting boards + kitchen decor

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you had a brilliant weekend! I'm about to hop a flight back to LA from Toronto where I've been visiting my parents. While abroad I was managing a mini kitchen makeover taking place back home (no small feat!) and as you can imagine I have a long to-do list awaiting my arrival. At the top of that agenda is finding small decor pieces for the kitchen walls and countertops. You know, the finishing accents that add personality to the space.

One element I'll definitely be adding is the warmth and character of a some handmade wood cutting boards. I love the look of a couple resting on the counter and leaning against the wall, ready to be drafted into service as serving platters or chopping blocks. And I'm especially fond of Aheirloom handmade wood cutting boards. In woods such as walnut, beech, and maple, they bring an organic touch to even the sleekest kitchen.

I've also got a soft spot for Aheirloom's custom pieces—cutting boards, cake stands, muddlers, and trivets with your choice of engraving for any occasion. Company founders Amy and Bill make every piece in their Brooklyn facility, and they're super hands-on with the personalization process. If you've got an idea for a unique gift for that special someone, they're waiting to make it happen!

  1. Absolutely beautiful pictures! Those cutting boards are too gorgeous to actually use – I’d be so worried about scratching them, I’d probably just hang them up on the wall to be admired.
