Handmade Leather Accessories by Ceri Hoover

Last week I spoke headed to Atlanta to speak at Brandshop, a traveling pop-up series whose goal is to highlight design-driven emerging brands and female entrepreneurs. I came home with my wallet a little lighter and my bookmarks bar a whole lot heavier thanks to several new-to-me companies worth keeping an eye on! One that stuck with me most was the accessories company Ceri Hoover, a Nashville-based leather accessories label that has become known for its ultra soft totes, cross bodies, and clutches. I splurged on pretty suede shoulder bag and have been hungrily stalking the rest of the lineup since my arrival home!

The company is named after its founder, who was working as an interior designer when she realized that the calfskin cushion covers she’d been sewing also made great bags! (Holy ingenuity, Batman!) Ceri’s pieces are the mark of a true talent with a honed eye for color and proportion; her palettes would just as easily suit a boutique hotel room as they do an outfit, and I can easily envision the minimalist lines of her bags mimicked in an ottoman or an armchair. The good news for all us fashion lovers? Ceri has just released shoes and has ready-to-wear clothing in the pipeline too! Those strappy mules have stolen my heart—and I dare you not to fall for the whole brand yourself!

  1. I am in the same, same boat. Considering starting with the Tall Tote and going from there. Loved this review, Anne. xx Emily
