This is the final post in all the inspiration and experiences I enjoyed during my trip to Santa Barbara earlier this winter, and it’s possible that I’ve saved the best for last! Loquita is an innovative tapas restaurant in Santa Barbara’s waterfront district, specializing in the traditional flavors and cooking methods of Spain. It’s one of those stand-out restaurants where the decor is as memorable as the food. My jaw dropped when I first walked in, it’s so beautiful!
Even though the food is straight from Spain, the design of the space is influenced by a healthy measure of Scandinavian design too. Colorful patterned tiles lay a foundation for airy white walls, birch seating, and floor-to-ceiling curtains in the softest shade of blush. Brass Sputnik chandeliers add a playful and dynamic touch, and sheepskins cushion diners as they lounge in plywood booths. Loquita’s decor is totally steal-worthy, a treat for all the senses to be sure!
