Happy Friday! I'm still slowly easing back into life post-holidays. This year's trip to see family in Toronto has lodged especially firmly in my mind, due in no small part to all the fabulous boutiques and restaurants that have popped up in the city since my last visit. We shopped and dined our way all around town, with me snapping photos at every turn. One of my favorite meals was at the newly-opened Colette Grande Cafe, a spot too marvelous not to share!
Colette is modeled after the French bistro tradition, and true to it's Continental inspiration, every detail from the mouthwatering menu to the luxe yet inviting decor has been considered. Step in the doors and you're greeted by marble, mirror, and walnut surfaces, all polished to a high shine. Petite round tables and cozy banquette seating make for intimate dining, and staff in darling striped aprons strike the perfect balance between friendly, attentive, and discreet. I'd be lying if I said I didn't entertain a posh 'ladies who lunch' fantasy while I ate there!
Then, of course, there's the food. Stop by in the morning for the city's best Americano and hot-from-the-oven lemon scones. Meet friends for happy hour over crispy herbed frites with aioli. Or take a late supper of lobster bisque and foie gras, and wash it down with macarons and chocolate souffle. It's decadent dining a la francaise, and it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience not to be missed!
What a lovely space! I would definitely eat at the counter, I love all the pastry displays and the blackboard and it’s so fun to watch them make coffee drinks and stuff!
Looks amazing! Thanks for sharing!
