I don't remember where I was the first time I met Camille Styles, but I do remember thinking, 'This girl is going places.' Camille is that rare combination of kind and generous, sweet and down-to-earth, yet utterly driven and determined to share her voice and vision with the world. It was only a matter of time before she expanded her take on artful, effortless living beyond her website, and this fall marks her first step off the internet and onto the page with the release of her new book Camille Styles Entertaining.
As a regular reader of Camille's blog, I was thrilled to receive a copy of her book in the mail—and I didn't waste a moment trying one of the many lovely projects from its pages! Camille covers everything from florals to food, hosting to home decor, so I had my pick of ways to get my hands dirty. Ultimately I choose to put my spin on one of the book's stunning autumn flower arrangements.
The premise for this arrangement is straightforward: start with branches bedecked in leaves that reflect the changing colors of the season, then use them to show off a single type of blossom in the same hues. Fall fruits play a supporting role, and the finished bouquet makes a simple, stunning statement on an accent table, bookshelf, or nightstand. I chose dahlias for my petite take on this theme, but the showstopper in Camille's book uses roses and is big enough to adorn an entire mantlepiece. It's an absolute must-see!
Ultimately I think that's my favorite aspect of Camille's book; it's full of inspiration and know-how but also encourages us to put our own stamp on whatever we do. At the end of the day, as I know Camille agrees, blogs, books, and magazines should be our gateway to personal expression, providing tips and ideas but most importantly giving us the confidence to discover the unique beauty in our own lives. Thank you, Camille, for reminding us daily of all there is to celebrate!

I like very much these flowers. Especially when they are displayed in such a nice way.
