I hit the flea market yesterday. I never take cash, I just cruise with open eyes, and I have a feeling the vendors know my type: the girls who never buy, but rather snap surreptitious photos on their phones to take home later and dump into their hoard of inspiration images. This time around I was particularly smitten with every shade of pink, whether in rugs and dresses, or artwork and old kitchen textiles.
There's just SOMETHING about pink that I have never been able to resist, and I know a lot of us feel the same way–Mother Nature included! It's in the flush of our cheeks when we're at the peak of health, it's in a blazing sunset that burns across the sky. This time of year it's also on the curve of a peach or a Ranier cherry, the center of a Dahlia in full bloom. Pink is…well…sexy. Isn't it?
And there are so many iterations of pink–when I tire of one I happily turn my attention to the next! At the flea my eyes were drawn again and again to this juicy watermelon hue. From the low-risk commitment of a silk scarf to the bold statement of a Moroccan rug, just looking at these pieces quenches the thirst of an August afternoon. Here's to a week full of the energy of pink!
Shopping: Scarf, stool, rug, backpack. Images: 1. 2. 3. 4. 6. 7. 8.

Just wanted to say that I recently discovered your blog and it is satisfying my urge for beautiful images and fashion inspiration more than any other I’ve seen.
I love those spoons dipped in that cheery pink. Fairly sure all the other spoons in my house would be promptly DISOWNED.
