It’s December 8th and we’re deep in the thick of the holiday season! I for one couldn’t be enjoying it more. The moment I wake up I plug in the lights of the Christmas tree, press play on my favorite festive tunes, and bundle up in my warmest…shorts. Okay, so a chill in the air is the one thing missing from the holidays of my childhood in Canada. But thankfully there’s no shortage of beautiful wintry Instagram feeds to follow! For holiday decorating ideas from parts of the world that know a thing or two about white Christmases, here are two that I turn to when I’m longing for snowcapped pines instead of sunny palms.
Artist Celeste Coslett Clark (above) is a photographer, calligrapher, and illustrator par excellence. Through the lens of her camera we get to take part in all her creative pursuits, plus follow along on her adventures through scenic Utah with pup Moses. Prepare yourself for plenty of pretty greenery, blizzard landscapes, and sweet watercolors that celebrate the spirit of the holidays with Celeste’s signature playful, nostalgic style.
Then hop across the pond for a visit with stylist anna.cor in Berlin (above and top). Anna’s minimalist approach to holiday style will have you ditching the tinsel and bling for eucalyptus branches and thistle buds. Her moody, dreamy shots evoke imaginings of Northern European markets and slow Solstice nights; and her lovely images of her children remind that the magic of the season often stems from the smallest of things!
