I'm not the tidiest person in the world–and that's putting it gently. Oh sure, I start out with good intentions. For example when I travel I pack neatly, but by the end of the trip I'm cramming dirty clothes into every pocket I can find. So when we were concepting for the June travel issue of Rue, I self-servingly created a DIY to keep me more organized when I'm on the road.

The team had such fun coming up with this little project! I paired up with crafter and stylist Rebecca Buenik to plan the pattern, then we hit the fabric store. When we saw this Liberty of London print we just had to have it—it's a pricey material but because we only needed a small amount it was doable. Then of course it came time to shoot our craft. We had this one and two others that you can see in the June issue of Rue (and they're worth checking out on page 48 if I do say so myself!) With props and styling from Disregarden and photography by The Why We Love, the whole day was a total hoot–plus we had our furry friend on set to approve every angle. It was a summer DIY dream!
